Knowledge aims: Students can read and know the meaning of the words to describe people, such as  tall ,strong,funny and so on.

Ability aims: Students can use these new words and sentences to describe their teachers correctly.Such as Who is your English teacher? Mr Carter.Whats he like? He is tall and strong.

Emotional aims: Students can care more about their teachers and learn to love their teachers.

Teaching key and difficult point: The usage of new words and sentences.

Teaching aids: PPT/pictures/tape recorder /word-cards and so  on .

Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Warming up and lead in:

Do a chant as the teacher does as the following:

Tall, tall, tall.      Make yourself tall.

Short, short, short.   Make yourself short.
    Big, big, big.         Make your eyes big.
    Small, small, small.   Make your eyes small.
    Long, long, long.      Make your arms long.
    Short, short, short.   Make your arms short.

Step 2: presentation and practice

Activity1:Introduce the meaning of the words through body language

Activity2:practice the new words through the pair work

Activity3:Present the sentence. Who is your English teacher? Mr WU.What is he like? He is tall and strong.

Activity4:practice the new dialogue through role play.

Activity5: Use the new words in the dialogue

Step 3:Summary

The teacher ask the students what they have learned this class, so that in this way, the teacher and the students together summarize the class.

Step 4:Homework

Draw a picture of one of their teacher and try to describe him or she using the words and structure.

一看到这种大段的英语就头疼,15分钟哪能讲这么多内容呢?

解析:

亲, 你又忘记了:考虑到时间的关系,一个好的试讲并不只是内容的多少,当然这15分钟不能单纯的讲单词或者句型,而是讲通讲透了多少知识。方法就是从这一大段英语文字当中精讲2到3个单词,1到2个核心句型,其他内容的处理方式是通过听录音大致了解,或者给同学们自行阅读时间,通过阅读就可以自己解决掉的内容。请记得:学生没有你们想象得那么笨,离开老师走不动路。如果你还是这样想,不是学生笨,而是你笨。

15分钟的试讲相比10分钟的试讲来说内容上可以多讲一个单词,多讲一个句型。在新授与巩固练习环节15分钟的试讲可以多来一些师生互动和生生互动,比如游戏,角色扮演之类。
